What are API Tokens?

API tokens are secret keys that authenticate your invoice submissions with FBR. They prove that you are authorized to submit invoices on behalf of your business. There are two types:

• Sandbox Token: Used for testing in the sandbox environment
• Production Token: Used for live invoice submission to FBR

Token Management

Tokens are managed by your administrator. They are securely encrypted in the system. Key points:

• Tokens have expiry dates — check with your admin if submissions fail
• If a token expires, your admin can rotate (generate a new) token
• Never share your tokens with unauthorized persons
• Each token is unique to your business NTN

What To Do When Token Expires

1. You will see error code 0001 or 0002 when submitting invoices
2. Contact your administrator
3. Admin will generate a new token from the Token Registry
4. Try submitting your invoice again
